I am not very good at updating my blog. Finding the time is tricky. Kaleb had his 6th birthday and Emma is 16 months old and getting busier by the minute. The only time I can get anything done is when she is sleeping. They sure are fun and it is fun to watch them learn and grow. Kaleb is starting to read and loves Kindergarten. Emma babbles nonstop and gets into, and climbs everything. We had a fun Halloween with Shrek and Princess Fiona. We joined Donkey later at Grandma's house. Hope all is well with everyone and I enjoy looking at each of your blogs.

Wow, I can't believe summer is almost over. We sure have had fun. We have had family reunions, went to Lagoon, played on our blowup slide, mutton bustin', fishing, swimming lessons, and we survived. Kaleb starts Kindergarten at the end of the month and is looking forward to that. Emma is now walking and gets into everything. She sure loves to play with Kaleb and loves to wrestle him. The wilder the better. Jared has been really busy with work but hopes to squeeze in some more horse riding, camping and fishing before the summer is over. I am still working more than I want to but we always seem to be short handed. We are slowly getting ready to adopt again but haven't done anything official yet. So keep your ears peeled for any situations that might arrise. Love you all.

Well Emma turned one last week. I can't believe it has been a year, I can remember Alabam like it was yesterday. We feel so blessed to have her in our family. We really had fun celebrating with Emma and she is so fun and is always making us smile. She isn't quite walking yet but is getting close. Kaleb won the mutton bustin' and was so happy to get the big trophy this time. We sure enjoy Kaleb and Emma and the fun things we do together as a family. We are slowly getting things together to adopt again. We have been so blessed by our experience with Emma and Kaleb wants a brother and another sister. Hope you enjoy the pictures and I will post more later.

Our trip to San Diego
We really had fun this past week in San Diego. We went to Sea World and Legoland. Emma flew with Grandma, Ty, Al, and Max. Jared, Kaleb, Grandpa, and I drove. We stopped at hoover dam on the way. Kaleb asked Grandpa the other day what was the name of Hoover dam. He says the funniest things. He sure had fun at Legoland and was really brave on the rides and always put his hands up. Of course his favorite thing at Sea World was the Clydesdales (again). Emma was really good and even watched the shows with interest. We always look forward to our family vacation in the spring and hate when it is over.

A Fun Weekend at Targhee
We had a great time skiing at Targhee. It has become a tradition to go to Targhee in the spring and stay in the hotel on the resort and ski. This time Ty and Al and Kaleb's cousin Kimball went with us. Emma enjoyed herself but became lethargic when we put her in her snow suit. Once we took it off she was back to being busy busy. There are two pictures of Emma with her bear that her birth mom gave her she sure has grown.

Very cute pictures of Emma
Here are some pictures of Emma. They were taken January 28. Thanks to Tiffany for doing such a great job.
Well our house is under contract and so we plan on moving out the first part of March. We found a rental in Nibley so we won't be moving far. We are planning to build a house possibly in Young Ward.
We are doing well. As you can see from the pictures Emma can sit up and roll over and is now learning how to crawl. She scoots around on her tummy and right now I can contain her to the family room because it has a dropped floor. I'm sure she will soon find a way to escape.
Kaleb is enjoying school and recently learned about money. His teacher was so impressed that he knew so much. Now we just need him to become a nuclear physicist, neuro surgeon, etc. so that he can take care of us when we are old. He is going to play soccer this spring and lucky for him I am going to coach.
We went bowling this last Family Night and Kaleb sure had a "ball."

Well we had a wonderful week. It started with Emma's court finalization on Monday. Of course I cried most of the time and could barely answer the questions. It was a close call for the social worker from the agency to even make it because she had to travel from Ogden and we had another major winter storm. On Tuesday we went to the Temple. Of course it was extremely cold so we only snapped a couple of pictures before we went in. It was such a special day and it was so sweet when Kaleb walked in and my Mom carried Emma in. And of course I cried a lot. It was special because our sealer had adopted all of his children and so it was neat to have that in common. It was over really fast and I wanted to just stay there forever. The spirit was so strong. On Sunday we had her blessing and believe it or not we had another major winter storm. A few of our family members weren't able to make it because of the weather and we missed them. Jared gave her a special blessing and the spirit was very strong. We had a lot of family there and appreciate all their love and support. It was a wonderful week and hope that I can keep these feelings with me for a long time.

Well with some help of a friend here goes blogging.
We had a good Christmas and Santa brought Kaleb a Semi with a back-hoe on a trailer and Emma a few toys as well. We had Christmas Eve with G. ma, pa, ty, al, max, kurt, jenny, lettie, and linsey. Christmas morning was at our house and opened presents then went to Ty and Al’s for the day. Everyone was spoiled by the grandparents.
Daddy had a birthday and Kaleb and I made him a carrot cake with red, blue, green, and yellow striped frosting. Kaleb gave him a green horse trailer that had previously belonged to Kaleb. Kaleb even wrapped it all by himself. We didn’t have much of a celebration because Kaleb has been sick with the flu. Kaleb was really upset that no one came over. Birthdays are a big deal for Kaleb and birthday cake is a must as well as a lot of presents, which was another upsetting thing for Kaleb. Daddy just didn’t have enough presents and he wanted to go buy more.
Emma is sitting up by herself just recently. At the beginning of the month she started rolling over. She is quite the lunch gut and puts down two baby food tubs at lunch. She is starting to eat table food and really likes cake. She is into spitting and yelling and thinks it is really funny especially when you do it back. She had a good Christmas as well and tried to eat the presents. We are looking forward to having her adoption finalized and her being sealed to us next week.
